Sleeping on the plane? Britney Spears rolls into Los Angeles airport with heavy eyes and messy bed hair

She's not known for pulling it together when she's off the red carpet.
But when Britney Spears jet out of Los Angeles on Thursday she appeared to put a little more effort into her wardrobe than usual - which made it all the more puzzling that she seemed to have forgotten her comb.
The 31-year-old former X Factor judge ducked through LAX on her way to New Orleans, her hair tangled and make-up splotchy as though she had just rolled out of bed.

Britney had stepped out earlier in the day on a visit to the dentist, scrubbing up just enough to go out in public in sweatpants, an oversized sweater and Ugg boots.

A few hours later she was in a pair of dark denim skinny jeans and a pair of black stiletto boots, worn with a short sleeved button down shirt in a pretty pale blue and a bracelet with her son's name, Sean, emblazoned on one side.
Britney slung a pink handbag over her shoulder and was guided, along with her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James, and her father, Jamie Spears, through security.

The patriarch is still in control of her affairs via a conservatorship, which he obtained five years ago following her public meltdown.

But meanwhile as the wind blew back Britney's hair, its layers appeared matted and unkempt - perhaps the reason why she chose to tie it back moments later.

In line at a fast food joint before her flight her hair flopped on top of her head and make-up appeared slept-in. But the star didn't seem to mind her appearance, waiting in line with everyone else for a quick snack before she flew down south.

It marked a busy day for Britney, who was seen earlier in the day was seen stepping out in Thousand Oaks, California wearing an ensemble most starlets would only slop around the house in.

Heading home? The star was en route to New Orleans, not far from her hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana

The mother-of-two – who shares Jayden, six, and Sean, seven, with ex-husband Kevin Federline – went solo for the run.

Noticeably absent was her latest love interest, David Lucado.

The Scream & Shout singer - who split from her fiance Jason Trawick in January - has been spotted on several romantic outings with David, who works at a prestigious law firm in Southern California, recently.

Little is known about the pair's budding relationship, and its unlikely David will be speaking to the press about Britney anytime soon.
Recent reports suggest he was forced to undergo a background check and sign a non-disclosure contract before she would agree to go out with him, despite being set up by her father.

A source told gossip website RadarOnline: 'Jamie has known David for awhile, and always thought he was a thoughtful, and an all-around good guy.
