And Hollywood legend Jack Nicholson certainly stood out as he wandered the streets of Paris on Friday, dressed eclectically after jetting in for the funeral of friend Willy Rizzo.
Wanting to assimilate to the French culture but not lose his US identity, the star donned a New York Yankees beret, worn especially for the trip.

After jetting in from Los Angeles on Thursday, the 75-year-old seemed to be getting used to his surroundings, looking like a true Parisian as he wandered along the street.
Looking a quirky as usual, Jack matched a pair of baggy black trousers with a white shirt and navy jumper, and with a grey suit jacket thrown over the top.

The star, who was clearly close to Willy's family, stopped outside their door before pulling out a piece of paper to check which buzzer to press.
He later emerged looking a little more dapper in a smart dark suit and grey tie and wearing his trademark dark sunglasses.

Willy was well known for his snaps of stars including Marilyn Monroe and Brigitte Bardot as well as covering the Nuremberg trials.
He passed away on Monday, the day after Jack was at the Oscars in LA where he was caught on camera flirting with Best Actress winner Jennifer Lawrence.
